PERSONALITY •
An innocent and precocious child who is sometimes shy around adults she meets for the first time. Audrey is a very excitable and chatty child, sometimes hyperactive but can become slightly quiet after a while of being ignored. She has an easier time making friends with children her own age than with adults.
Belgium, as friendly as she is can fade and not be seen when other energetic and louder children are surrounding her. She is susceptible to being pushed around even at a young age and does not realize it; she thinks it is normal to do something that someone asks her to do. Without realizing that consequences exist from her actions or something she doesn't do.
She also has a fondness for rabbits, dogs, wolves; meaning if she sees on of them she will squee loudly and make a fuss, trying to capture and make it her pet. Easily attaches herself to her caretakers; this makes her easily agreeable to the adult caretakers in her life but not so much to others of the adult group. Annelees is quite intelligent though, and doesn't mind showing it sometimes but is bullied because she uses bigger words and other kids find this annoying and pick on her for it, sometimes.

HISTORY •
White rooms were a common occurrence for Annelees. She remembers waking up from something sticky and opening her eyes, muttering in a language she didn't realize she was speaking. Wires were stuck into her body, connecting to scary looking and creepy sounding machines. She tried to close and open her eyes to make someone pay attention but no one would for what seemed the longest time to her. Beginning to stretch her lips and make a yawning motion, she guttered out words to no one, and this was when one of the nurses, a man with blue eyes gave a smile and a stroke on her arm, lone comfort.
After that point, she never saw him again but she meet others, meaner men and kind women. These were the ones who stuck her with needles when the loud clock chimed after activities they made her do, reading and verbal instructions. Everything began to slow down after this, her advancements that she had made and noted, forced the people surrounding her [later found out to be scientists], she heard her name for the first time, Annelees, she had heard others call her Belgique, Belgie, Belgien...
Receiving that name, she was taken away from the scientists and stayed with another one and his scientist wife, the ones who raised her. The experiments continued and her training intensified to the point where she started asking questions and became more inquisitive. Enraging the father-scientist, frustrating the other mother-scientist, yelling and shouting, placing her in small dark rooms as punishment intensified. From here, she'd scream and cry and break things to get out, make noise and to be let out.

( Did you hear your favorite song )
just one last time..
just one last time..
Annelees was sitting quietly on the steps on the back porch of the house, clutching her stuffed rabbit plushie, with a tattered ear and several whiskers missing from his face. She looked up into the sky and was pointing out the stars to herself and her rabbit, giving them silly names and fancy tales to match.
She was cold, going outside with out a jacket and socks or even slippers; she stepped off of her sitting spot and moved to a porch swing that faced away from the house and into the grass and the area beyond the backyard. She was fast falling asleep when the porch door swung open and the man sloppily picked her up by the arms and brought her inside, back to her bed. She was awake but pretend to be slipping, hearing him lock the door behind him.
Annelees walked softly to the window to look at the stars and hummed softly to herself and her rabbit, "twinkle twinkle little start how I wonder what you are...are you like me little star?" Afraid of the footsteps outside her door, she jumped back into her tiny bed, and clenched her eyes tight, feigning sleep to anyone who would peek. She knew that tomorrow would bring a surprise, the stars twinkled so bright, that it knew as well.
